Planning a wedding can be hard, especially when most of the time, this is the first time you're doing it...so of course there are a lot of questions!
Frequently Asked Questions
General
Did you know couples spend 250–300 hours planning their wedding?
Between researching venues & suppliers, managing budgets, guest lists, timelines, and all the logistics, it’s practically a full-time job!
A wedding planner dramatically cuts that time down so you can focus on the fun bits, like who sits where. (There are some things I just can’t do… I don’t know the politics between cousin Kevin and Uncle Brian!)
And if you’re working full-time at the same time? Those hours come from evenings, weekends, and your much-needed downtime.
Your time matters! I can make the journey to “I do” stress-free, enjoyable, and beautifully organised.
A Wedding Planner manages the entire planning process, including budgeting, supplier sourcing, scheduling, and overall coordination leading up to, and on, the wedding day.
A Wedding Coordinator will be on hand on the actual wedding day, ensuring all details run smoothly without the couple having to manage logistics themselves.
If you want a wedding planner to help bring your dream wedding to life, it’s best to hire one as soon as you start planning, so we can manage everything from the very beginning.
If you’re looking for a wedding day coordinator, it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment, but they can usually be appointed 2–3 months before the wedding, as this is when I start finalising the day’s plans and ensuring everything runs seamlessly on.
This depends on your package.
Full wedding planning clients can have unlimited meetings with me! These are usually every 1-2 months at the beginning and get more frequent the closer to the wedding when final decisions need to be made. But if you have a question - contact me!
If you have booked on-the-day coordination, clients will have a long handover meeting 4-6 weeks out from their wedding to run through the details, and potentially a couple of smaller meetings focused on logistics closer to their date.
Yes, I create a detailed schedule covering the ceremony, reception, supplier arrivals, photos, speeches, and everything in between to keep the day seamless.
If you have on-the-day coordination only, I will ensure that all suppliers have a copy of the timeline 4-6 weeks out from the wedding, following on from our detailed handover call.
Based on your vision and budget, I work closely with your stylist and florist to bring your ideas to life. You will have opportunities to review, amend, and approve all plans and final details, ensuring everything reflects exactly what you want.
While I have a background in design and have worked closely with creative teams for many years, my role is to manage the process, not to design specifically myself. I’ll help you clearly define and communicate your vision to your approved stylist, who will transform your ideas into a beautifully cohesive design that feels true to you as a couple.
You can trust that I’ll be there throughout, overseeing every detail, making sure your vision is perfectly executed, and ensuring the entire experience is seamless and stress-free.
Absolutely! I will manage the entire process and oversee all logistics with your chosen suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly and according to plan.
My role focuses on coordination, communication, and seamless execution, bringing all the moving parts together behind the scenes so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Anything and everything, across the UK! Whether you’re planning a small, intimate micro wedding or going all out with a large-scale celebration, I’m here to support you throughout the planning and logistical process.
Your planning is entirely bespoke, thoughtfully designed around you, your story, and the experience you want to create. My role is to ensure that, no matter the size or style of your day, everything runs seamlessly from start to finish.
Additional costs only apply if your wedding venue is more than 25 miles from Nottingham. Travel is charged at the standard rate of 45p per mile for every mile over.
If your venue is over 100 miles away, overnight accommodation for the night before your wedding will also be required. All costs will be sent to you for approval before being booked and added to your final invoice.
I know weddings come with a lot of invoices, so to make things easier, I stagger my payments throughout the planning process. The schedule depends on your chosen package.
For the Perfect Match and Ever After packages:
• 25% is due on booking to secure your date in my diary and cover the upfront planning.
• 25% will be invoiced 6 months prior to your wedding day.
• 50% is due 1 month before your wedding.
For the First Look and Golden Hour (Coordination Only) packages:
• 25% is due at the time of booking to secure your date.
• 75% is due 2 weeks before your wedding.
This approach helps spread payments in a manageable way while ensuring I’m fully prepared to support you every step of the way.
